Understanding the dashboard

The dashboard is your home page. You'll find: today's orders, today's revenue, average basket, and the 5 latest orders. A banner shows your remaining free trial days. The sidebar gives you access to all sections: orders, menu, options, tables, settings, etc.

Navigating the interface

The left sidebar contains all sections. On mobile, tap the menu icon in the top left. Each section is one click away. The restaurant selector at the top lets you switch between your restaurants (Business plan). The notification bell alerts you to new orders.

Create a category

Go to Menu, then click "Add a category". Give it a name in French (required) and English (optional, for Pro and Business plans). You can reorder categories by drag and drop. Toggle a category on or off: a disabled category won't appear on the public menu.

Add a product

In a category, click "Add a product". Fill in: name (FR + optional EN), description, price, photo (automatically compressed), allergens. The product appears immediately on your public menu. You can mark it as temporarily unavailable without deleting it.

Edit or delete a product

Click on a product to open the edit form. Modify the fields you want and save. To delete a product, click the trash icon and confirm. Warning: deletion is permanent. If you want to temporarily remove a product, use the availability toggle instead.

Managing photos

Each product can have a photo. Images are automatically compressed (max 800×600 px) for fast loading. Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WebP. To change a photo, click on it and select a new file. To remove it, click the X icon on the photo.

Allergens

When creating or editing a product, you can select allergens from the official list (gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soy, milk, tree nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulfites, lupin, mollusks). They are displayed as icons on the public menu.

Reorder products and categories

Use drag and drop to reorder your categories and products within a category. The order is reflected instantly on the public menu. You can also move a product to another category by editing the product.

Enable multilingual menu

Available on Pro and Business plans. When multilingual is active, a language selector appears on the public menu. Fill in the English translations for your categories and products. If an English field is empty, French is shown as fallback.

Menu welcome text

In Settings > Restaurant, customize the message displayed at the top of the public menu. For example: "Welcome to [Name]! Our dishes are made with fresh, local ingredients." This text can also be translated to English on Pro+ plans.

Create an option group

Go to Options, then "Add a group". An option group is a set of choices offered to the customer (e.g. "Cooking", "Sauce", "Extras"). Choose the type: single choice (radio) or multiple choice (checkbox). Indicate if the group is required or optional.

Add options to a group

In a group, add your options one by one. Each option has a name (FR + optional EN) and a price modifier (€0 if included, or a surcharge like +€1.50). You can reorder options and enable/disable them individually.

Link a group to products

Open a product and in the "Option groups" section, select the groups to attach. The same group can be linked to multiple products (e.g. "Cooking" for all steaks). The order of groups can be customized per product.

Edit add-on prices

An add-on price is a modifier added to the product price. It can be positive (+€2.00 for extra cheese) or zero (€0 for a free choice like cooking preference). Add-on prices are recorded in the order at the time of submission.

Set up your tables

Go to Tables and enter the number of tables in your restaurant. Menyko automatically generates numbered tables (1, 2, 3…). You can add or remove tables at any time. Each table has its own QR code that pre-selects the table number for the customer.

Download QR codes

From the Tables page, download each QR code individually (PNG) or all at once (ZIP containing printable A6 PDFs). Each PDF contains the QR code, table number, and Menyko logo. Print them and place them on your tables.

The takeaway QR code

In addition to table QR codes, a special "Takeaway" QR code is automatically generated. It allows customers to order without a table number. Display it at the counter or in your window for takeaway service.

What does the customer see when scanning?

When scanning the QR code, the customer lands directly on your menu. If it's a table QR, the table number is pre-filled. If it's the takeaway QR, takeaway mode is selected. The customer browses the menu, builds their order with options and add-ons, adds a note if needed, and sends their order. No sign-up required.

Receiving orders

Orders arrive in real time on your Orders page. A sound alert plays with each new order. Orders are organized by status: New, In Progress, Ready, All. You can filter by type (dine-in / takeaway).

Managing statuses

Each order follows a cycle: New → In Progress → Ready → Served. Click the main action button to move to the next status. The customer sees their order status in real time on their confirmation page.

Cancel an order

Click "Cancel" on an order. Select the reason (customer left, out of stock, duplicate, etc.). If the order is already in progress or ready, a warning tells you the cancellation will count as a loss in your statistics.

Use the tabs to filter by status. The type filter (dine-in / takeaway) is available to refine the view. Most recent orders appear first. The full history is paginated (20 orders per page).

POS mode is designed for touch: large buttons, simple navigation, contrasted colors on a dark background. Categories are at the top, products in the center, cart on the right (or bottom on mobile). Everything is thumb-accessible.

Go to Billing and click "Manage my subscription". You'll be redirected to the secure Stripe portal where you can choose a plan, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel. Changes take effect immediately.

Cancel my subscription

From the billing portal, click "Cancel subscription". Access remains active until the end of the paid period. After expiration, the back-office is locked but your public menu stays visible. Your data is kept for potential reactivation.

Roles

Three roles exist: Owner (full access, billing, deletion), Admin (everything except billing and restaurant deletion), Staff/Manager (orders, menu, options, tables only). The owner is the person who created the account.

The owner and admins can change member roles or remove them from the team. Staff have access to operational features (orders, menu, tables) but not sensitive settings (billing, team, advanced settings).

Add a restaurant

If you have multiple restaurants sharing the same menu (franchise, chain), create a sync group. Restaurants in the group share the same categories, products, and options. You can disable a product or change its price on one site without affecting the others.

In a sync group, each restaurant can have customizations: disable certain products or options, modify prices. Changes are marked as "customized" to distinguish them from the shared menu.
